Fernando Malabet joined Eastern Shipbuilding Group as Vice President of Engineering in 2011. He currently leads Eastern’s team of Designers, Naval Architects, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers in support of our complex and diverse commercial programs. His 36 years of prior experience includes positions at North American Shipbuilding, an Edison Chouest Company, where he served as Design Manager, and with Guido, Perla and Associates, Inc., a Seattle based design firm, where he served as Project Manager. Mr. Malabet has a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan.
