Jon Letourneau

Vice President of Government Programs

Jon Letourneau joined Eastern Shipbuilding Group as the Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) Program Manager in January of 2020. Jon brings over 30 years of experience in all aspects of shipboard and shipbuilding operations, engineering, and project/program management. A retired Navy Commander and Engineering Duty Officer, he has a proven history of leading diverse teams in successfully managing cost, schedule, performance, and quality of shipbuilding programs through all phases of acquisition, design, construction, test, trials, delivery, crew training/certification/integration, post-delivery, fleet introduction, and sustainment. Prior to OPC, he served on multiple U.S. government shipbuilding programs including Arleigh Burke class Guided-missile Destroyer (DDG), Wasp class Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD), America class Amphibious Assault (LHA), San Antonio class Amphibious Transport Dock (LPD), and 100 class Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) programs. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; Master of Science degrees in Mechanical and Systems Engineering from Naval Postgraduate School; Program Management III and Production, Quality and Manufacturing III Certifications from Defense Acquisition University; a LEAN/Six Sigma Green Belt; and an active SECRET security clearance.
